Employee attendance is an important element of human resource management, which can significantly contribute to employee productivity, engagement, and workplace safety. Employee attendance tracking is used to account for the presence and absence of an employee for a certain period of time. Its primary purpose is to monitor the hours that an employee works and, more importantly, the hours for which he or she is paid. As employee attendance is a crucial component of workplace safety, this case study examines the strategies and systems used to effectively manage employee attendance and improve workplace safety.
Workplace safety is a major concern in today’s working environment, and it has been highlighted in the news and on social media as a major business risk. Companies are mandated to adhere to a number of regulations in order to ensure the safety and wellbeing of their employees. Unsurprisingly, employee attendance application plays an especially important role in enhancing workplace safety. Companies must accurately track their employees’ attendance in order to secure their safety and prevent any potential accidents.
This case study aims to answer the following research question: How can companies ensure workplace safety through the effective management of employee attendance?
The literature review conducted for this case study examined a number of studies which investigated the role of employee attendance in enhancing workplace safety. It was found that having an effective attendance management system in place is key to ensuring the safety of employees in the workplace. A number of studies have highlighted the importance of tracking employee attendance accurately in order to reduce absenteeism and improve safety in the workplace. For example, one study found that attendance management systems can be used to detect unusual patterns of absence, which can help the employer identify any potential risks to employees and the organization.
